JAYDEN.
“Music for me documents time and emotion. Like a soundtrack, when you hear a particular song on the radio, it always seems to bring you back to what you were doing and feeling at that moment in time. I want to be part of your life soundtrack and make the records that document your experiences.”
Jayden’s musical journey began in Brooklyn, New York, where he was born and got his first taste of the stage taking part in talent shows. His father brought home new albums every week and Jayden listened to them repeatedly until he had memorized all the lyrics.
When Jayden’s family relocated to New Jersey, his love for music and performing grew when his parents bought him a karaoke machine. He spent hours singing along to the likes of Boys II Men, Az Yet, Jon B. and Stevie Wonder. A talented writer, Jayden spent the next few years writing poems and memoirs and worked his way into songwriting.
“I always look back and think it’s funny how it wasn’t cool to write poetry in school, but as soon as I put those poems to music and made them into songs…everyone loved them.”
His father, Felix Browne, founded Gent Records, LLC, with Jayden in 2008.
The indie label would be the platform for his debut album.
Jayden describes his music as being full spectrum: music that he feels covers the whole range of human experience and emotion.
